  1. But Cliff's instinct for melody and the alternately joyous and languid reggae beat still make this a most listenable album. When he sings like he means it—on "When You're Young" or "Those Good, Good, Old Days," for instance — and when the material is worthwhile, this album proves that the promise is still there. 3. For me, I am happy to see many of Cliff's lesser known great hits on here, such as "Those Good Good Old Days," and "Better Days Are Coming, " both from the amazing "Struggling Man" lp. Despite the lack of "The Harder they Come," this 2 cd set is an excellent introduction to the work of one of reggae's heroes, Jimmy Cliff/5(4).

  8. This is by far the best Jimmy Cliff album to date. It has equal parts reggae, soul, funk, gospel and folk. It's a very optimistic album about the struggling man. Beautiful from start to end.5/5(9).
